About the Bridgestone Blizzak
Blizzak is the winter tire most people can name without thinking, and it earned that on ice performance. Bridgestone's multicell compound works like a sponge at the contact patch, pulling the thin film of water off the ice surface that causes most winter slides. In practice that shows up where it matters: braking distance at intersections on a cold morning, and confidence pulling out onto a slick road. Snow traction is very strong and the ride is comfortable. If your winter driving is mostly city streets that thaw and refreeze into polished ice, this is the tire we recommend most often.
