About the Westlake SW606
The SW606 exists to solve a specific problem: a driver who needs real winter tires before the snow arrives and cannot spend premium money this month. It is a genuine winter compound with a real winter tread pattern, which puts it in a completely different category from running all-seasons through a Calgary winter. It will not match a Blizzak on ice or an X-Ice on longevity, and we will not pretend otherwise. But a budget winter tire fitted in October beats a premium tire you did not buy, and for older vehicles, second cars, and tight budgets it is an honest choice.
